A fine and rare South German repousse copper plaque depicting St. Augustine (345 - 430). 17th century. Footnote: Augustine of Hippo, also known as Saint Augustine, was a theologian, philosopher, and the bishop of Hippo Regius in Numidia, Roman North Africa.
Dimensions: 6 x 4 1/8 in., (15.5 x 10.5 cm.)
