Art deco French molded and etched glass lalique style, circa 1930, brass lamp with fluted base, slightly conical form molded shade in clear and frosted glass, marked on edge of shade in raised letters, "P.D'AVESN", overall 24 on., shade diameter 16 in.[Art Deco] - D'Avesn worked at Rene Lalique's for 10 years where he designed Lalique's famous "Serpent" vase as well as the "Tourbillons" vase, two of the most highly priced pieces by Lalique. In 1926, he left René Lalique and created his own studio. In 1930, Daum Freres asked him to take the artistic direction of their molded glass department D'Avesn surely one of the most important French glass worker for the molded glass Art pieces with René Lalique and Sabino.
