Lot of four books, written in German, that explore the Jewish question. One volume is antisemitic.
1) 'Die Judenfrage bei Griechen und Roemern' ('The Jewish Question among Greeks and Romans') by Theodor Hopfner, Franz Kraus, German Academy of Sciences, Prague, 1943. Archive stamp within. Cover partially unglued. Includes a large foldout map in the back about the expansion of the Jews. Toning.
2) 'Friedrich Nietzsche und die Juden' ('Nietzsche and the Jews') by R.M. Lonsbach, Bermann-Fischer Verlag , Stockholm, 1939. Pencil notes on the cover
3) 'Lessing und die Juden' ('Lessing and the Jews') by Adolf Bartels, the 'harbinger of Nazi anti-Semitism', C. A. Koch, Dresden und Leipzig, 1918. Written in Fraktur. Rebound and toning.
4) 'Warum gingen wir zum ersten Zionistenkongress?' ('Why did we go to the first Zionist congress?'), Berlin Office of the Zionist Organisation, Juedischer Verlag (Jewish Publishing House), Berlin, 1922. With contributions and photos of several prominent Jewish academics. Toning to pages, some pencil marks.
