GERMAN ANTISEMITIC POSTCARD 'PANJEWAGON'
Antisemitic WWI German postcard picturing a Jew, German soldiers, and a 'Panjehorse' pulling a 'Panjewagen' being lead by an Eastern Jew, a play on words. The card is titled 'Panjewagen [horse drawn wagon used in Eastern Europe] Russland 1914-15' in the lower left. Mailed to a woman in Leipzig with a sarcastic comment: 'Thank you for the wishes and greetings. Don't you like the old Russian. Greeting and kisses Your Faher.'
