Maurice Jacque: Barbizon l’Auberge Ganne en 1880
Maurice Jacque (French, 19/20th century): A hand colored etching entitled Barbizon l’Auberge Ganne. This etching depicts a curved French street with small colorful buildings. There are two figures standing in the foreground, and a horse and cart in the background against a vine-covered building. Signed and titled below in ink. Unframed. The Auberge Ganne, the inn that hosted many of the period painters, has been converted into a small museum.
