Mishbirei Yam, Harbin, China. The Only Torah Work Printed in Harbin - Inscribed by author!
Mishbirei Yam. Responsa on the four sections of the Shulchan Aruch, by Rabbi Aharon Moshe Kiselev of Harbin. 1926. The only Torah work printed in Harbin, China.

Rabbi Aharon Moshe Kiselev was the rabbi of Borisov, Russia. The community in Harbin, China, which primarily consisted of Russian immigrants, chose him unanimously to serve as rabbi and invited him to their city. With the encouragement of the Admor Rashab of Lubavitch, he moved to Harbin and served as rabbi in the community from 1913 until his passing in 1949. At the Congress of Far East Jewish Communities that took place in 1947, he was chosen as chief rabbi of the Far East, including Japan. He promoted religious observance in Harbin and other places. In the introduction to the book, he writes that he doesn't have approbations because he is far from the Torah centers in Poland and Russia, however many of the responsa in his book were seen by leading Torah authorities who praised his words. The book features responsa that he sent to Rabbi Yosef Rosen - the "Rogatchover, " Rabbi Avraham Shapira, author of Dvar Avraham, and others.
