Important Miniature Torah scroll Poland Circa 1800
Important Complete Miniature Torah scroll on Parchment, Poland, Circa 1800, Judaica.
Square Ashkenazi script (Ari zal).
Tagin on the letters שעטנז ג"ץ and on the letters בדק חי"ה.
No Wave amudim.
the scroll was written without following any prepared model, in “open plan”.
Petuchot and setumot according to Rambam and Rosh.
Wooden rollers: wood brown, turned at handles and tips, large plates.
The scroll has its proper mantle in Bordeaux velvet on it, a big embroidered Magen David surmounted by a crown.
Later embroidered two Hebrew letters ת. ש. Originally there was another dedication in the middle of the Magen David, completely deleted.
A pair of miniature silver Torah Finials with small crowns.
Parchment length: 15.5cm.
Text height: 13cm.
42 lines.
Condition: Very good, some letters are cracked and erased.
