Ledger of Torah Novellae by a North African Torah Scholar. Second Half of the 18th Century
Manuscript. Ledger with novellae on the Torah, sugyot of the Talmud and sermons written by a North African Torah scholar (apparently from Morocco). North Africa, second half of the 18th century.
[115] leaves, written on both their sides, with 35 blank leaves. 20.5x7.5 cm. Lists and calculations in a different hand between the leaves of novellae, from [1799] through [1834]. Owner signature at the beginning of the manuscript: שלמה דאנאן יצ"ו אכי"ר. The author of these novellae was possibly from the Danan family. Wood boards covered with leather, original. Worming holes. Aging stains. Moderate condition.
