Megilah Case - North Africa
Megilah case made of brass, silver-plated.
Popular work, North Africa, the middle of the 20th century.
Engraved decorations of the Two Stone Tablets with the ten commandments with a pair of lions holding them on both sides. Above them a seven-branched Menorah and an inscription "Keter Torah" around it.
Handle made of wood.
The Megilah case stands of a four-footed sculptured stand, with a star-of-David at its center.
33 cm.
Condition: Good. Tiny dents and natural wear.
