Lim Ed Lithographs 1968 : McCarthy Presidential Campaig
Limited edition #58/250 lithographs on Rives BFK cream paper; ten prints in a portfolio plus an original poem by Robert Lowell, from 1968 Eugene McCarthy Presidential Campaign Portfolio. In 1968 during the presidential campaign of Eugene McCarthy, New Jersey Volunteers for McCarthy enlisted 14 New Jersey artists to create an original lithograph to be included in a limited edition portfolio of 250 copies the proceeds of which went to support McCarthy's campaign. This portfolio is numbered 58/250. Each of the lithographs measures 16 .5 x 12.75 inches and is signed by the artist. The lithographs are in fine condition and in their original navy cloth-covered presentation portfolio. The Eugene McCarthy presidential campaign of 1968 was launched by United States Senator Eugene McCarthy of Minnesota in the latter part of 1967 to vie for the 1968 Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States.
