AN ANTIQUE JAPANESE CARVED WOOD NETSUKE
Finely carved wooden Japanese Meiji period netsuke, depicting Hotei, one of the Seven Gods of happiness in Shinto. He is the embodiment of abundance and good health. Depicted with a laughing face and a big belly. Unsigned. Circa: the 19th century.
