Marchande de Lacets is an original artwork realized by Louis Malteste in 1897. Lithograph on paper. Signed and dated on plate on the lower right corner. Mint conditions. Passepartout included (50 x 34 cm). Very interesting and elegant artwork representing the portrait of an old woman sitting on a chair with some baskets on the floor. The baskets are full of balls of wool and strands. This artwork was realized by Louis Malteste (Chartre, 1862 - Paris, 1928), a French illustrator. He lived and worked in Paris, where he exhibited in 1897 at the Salon des Cents and in 1902 at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. He worked for famous magazines, such as L'Assiette au Beurre and Le Chat Noir.
