Letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – 1978 – Approbation and Blessing for a Matchmaking Proposal – "May the Match be Concluded at an Opportune Time"
Letter from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn – the Lubavitcher Rebbe, with his signature. Brooklyn NY, 16th Adar I 1978.
Typewritten on the official stationery of the rebbe, with his signature.
Addressed to Mrs. Anat Nachshoni of Ness Ziona, in response to her letter in which she discussed a matchmaking proposal she received. The rebbe responds: "Surely they both decided, she and her intended, to establish their home on foundations of Torah and mitzvot in day-to-day life", and blesses: "May the match take place at the opportune time".
Aerogram. Approx. 27 cm. Fair condition. Filing holes (all around letter). Folding marks and creases. Tears and open tears to margins (affecting letterhead). Minor stains and wear.
