Signature and Gloss by Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner Av Beit Din and Rosh Yeshiva of Sekelheid, on the Book "Et Sofer" - Rare!
Et Sofer. First section - Paks, 1888. Second section - Paks, 1892. By Rabbi Sussmann Sofer. On the title page of the second section, the signature of Rabbi Yehuda Ha'Levi Rosner Av Beit Din of Sekelheid. A theoretical gloss in his handwriting. At the end of the book, his stamp.
Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner (1879-1944), one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. For 39 years he served as a rabbi in Sekelheid and as head of Yeshiva there, which was one of the largest and most important yeshivas in Hungary. He was the author of the book "Imrei Yehuda" on the Talmud.
He died in the Holocaust with his family.
Handwriting by Rabbi Rosner is most rare!
