Postcard - Heartwarming Marriage Greeting, Handwritten by Rabbi Yitzchak Hutner - 1930 - Very Early, from a Special Period in his Life - Extremely Rare!
A postcard sent by mail from Warsaw to Berlin, on 8.3.1840, with a heartwarming marriage greeting by Rabbi Yitzchak Hutner in his youth.
The postcard was sent during a special period in Rabbi Hutner's history. Rabbi Hutner was known as a prodigy at the Slobodka Yeshiva. As an exceptional student, he was sent by the "Alter" to strengthen the yeshiva in Hebron. There, in the Land of Israel, he met with Rabbi Kook, who greatly influenced his spiritual development. In 1929, he returned for a while to his family in Warsaw. At the same time, he also studied philosophy at the University of Berlin. There he met Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the would-be Lubavitcher Rebbe.
This is the background of the postcard before us, which was sent from Warsaw to Berlin.
Rabbi Hutner uses rich, poetic, heartwarming language, as is typical of his writing:
"My dear and friend
Kol Sasson Ve'Kol Simcha…
It is a time of emergency … and relatives become forcibly separated. Are compelled to be satisfied with a pitiable note. But believe me, my dear, that my heart is with you!
Please receive therefore blessings from the bottom of my heart. May your life be crowned with success wherever you go, now and for eternity… And may your house - the one you are building - a nest of Torah and wisdom. And may all the wishes of your heart come true.
As is the plea of all your brothers-our brothers, within which Yitzchak Hutner is included".
Extremely rare postcard!
Condition: Very Good.
