Tehillim - Minsk. Especially Rare Book

Psalms with the Midrash Chachamim commentary authored by the Gr"a's disciple, "the rabbi and preacher ... Rabbi Pinchas son of Yehudah of Plotzk" - "The Maggid of Plotzk." Minsk, 1809. Especially rare book.

The author writes in his preface: "I have had the privilege of serving the true gaon [many honorifics] Rabbi Eliyahu z"l of Vilna, and being in his presence was enough to absorb a whiff of his essence, and I absorbed that it is improper to go in a crooked way through various commentaries ..."

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Pinchas, known as "The Maggid of Plotzk."
