CHARLES M. SCHWAB
(1862 - 1939) American steel magnate, whose Bethlehem Steel became the second largest steel maker in the United States, and one of the most important heavy manufacturers in the world. The stock market crash of 1929 finished off what years of wanton spending had started. Had he lived a few more years, he would have seen his fortunes restored when Bethlehem Steel was flooded with orders for war material. Signed note 'Sincerely yours CM Schwab July 27th 1925', in black ink, 6 x 3.75 in. Fine.
