After Paul Cezanne (French, 1839-1906): The Card Players. Limited edition gravure. Unsigned, un framed. Published by San Lazzarro and Weyne. Printed by Frazier-Soye, France, 1936. This print is accompanied by a certificate transferring ownership to the present owner, and a document listing provenance from Lisa Moran Fine Arts.
Paul Cezanne was a pioneer of the Post-Impressionist movement and a catalyst for the transition to twentieth-century modern art. He is best remembered for his quick, expressive and repetitive brushstrokes that built up areas of rich color.
