GAULEITER'S CAR PENNANT WITH STAFF
Very rare Gauleiter's car pennant with staff and finial. The double-sided wool pennant, used only on the most important occasions, is 15.25 in. long and 10 in. tall. and supported by a steel frame within. It is comprised of separately sewn fields of red and white upon which is embroidered a right-facing political eagle, swastika, and 'G L' indicating the political rank of its owner. The pennant bears white chain stitching and maroon trim at its edges. A display stand is present which includes an original chromed steel automobile staff and finial. The ring surrounding the eagle on the finial is cracked at the base, otherwise in overall very fine condition. Such pennants are almost never encountered. Ex: Wolfe-Hardin
