HEER OFFICER'S DAGGER WITH SCABBARD BY EICKHORN
Heer officer's dagger with scabbard and portapee. The silvered fittings remain in near untouched condition, as oak leaves, the rim of the pommel are very fine and virtually untouched. The cross guard eagle is in perfect condition with all detail crisp and in an exceptional state of preservation, likewise the ferrule is in excellent condition. The grip is undamaged and also in fine condition. The blade is equally good, no marks to the blade evident, with a sharp maker's etching on the reverse. Scabbard has apparently never been cleaned, and bands and the body of the scabbard show no damage, no dents, and no dings. The dagger is fitted with a portapee and with a set of hangers appropriately stamped 'D.R.G.M.' Overall a very fine example.
