LAPPLAND SHIELD
Lappland shield, in cast zinc, holed in three places, 1945. 1 7/8 x 2 1/2 in., sand cast. The Lappland Shield was officially approved on 1 May, 1945 and was the last officially sanctioned German campaign shield of the war, awarded only after the end of the war. Due to the fact that these shields were field-made with many slight differences in design, this example is sold as is.
