UKRAINIAN SLAVE LABORER ESCAPES CAPTIVITY
German identity record for Soviet citizen 'Dmytro Liwtschuk', a slave laborer from Ukraine, who later escaped from German internment. The partly-printed document, 2pp. 8vo., bears Liwtschuk's particulars, hometown, fingerprints, and affixed portrait in laborer's garb with Ukrainian ID patch on the first page. The reverse bears his history of internment, indicating he arrived at 'VAW-RANSHOFEN', presumably aluminum factory 'Vereinigte Aluminiumwerke AG' from Ranshofen, on July 4, 1942. The second listed location is added just over two weeks later, and indicates that Liwtschuk fled to an unknown location. Evenly toned, else fine.
