WILLIAM "WILD BILL" GUARNERE
(1923 - 2014) Army soldier who fought in World War II as a non-commissioned officer with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, the 'Band of Brothers'. Good lot of three includes: Funeral booklet, 4pp. 8vo., containing information about his burial proceedings, multiple photographs celebrating his service, and the quote: 'A Hero to All Who Cherish Freedom'. Fine. WITH: S.P., 8.5 x 11 in. b/w, a print of a graphite sketch, showing an elderly Guarnere in uniform overlooking a young U.S. soldier in the trenches behind barbed wire, signed at the bottom in bold black ink. Fine. WITH: S.P., 8 x 10 in. color, a view of Guarnere and the actor who played him in 'Band of Brothers', signed by 'Wild Bill' in black ink at bottom left. Fine.
