Excellent signed book: 'German Jets Versus the U.S. Army Air Force' by WILLIAM N. HESS (North Branch, MN: Specialty Press), 1996. 175pp. 8vo. bearing the signatures of the author and of ten other World War II pilots on the initial three pages, most either flying ME262s or having shot them down. Signatures include: URBAN L. DREW, HARRISON B. TORDOFF, ROBERT P. WINKS, ROBERT ABERNATHY, URBAN 'BEN' DREW, DONALD M. CUMMINGS, JOHN C. FITCH, HERMANN BUCHNER, FRANZ STIGLER, and FRIEDRICH BLASCH. Fine condition, with dust jacket. Sold with a transmittal A.N.S. from FRANZ STIGLER, 1p. oblong 8vo., Surrey, Aug. 26, 2002, forwarding the book to a collector.
