Incredible war-date Flying Tigers book signed by approx. 90 men who flew with the Flying Tigers A.V.G. under Gen. Claire Chennault during World War II, as well some signatures from the immediate family members of those who died in combat. The book is 'The Flying Tigers' (Garden City: Garden City Publishing Co.), 1944. 224pp. 8vo., in gray cloth covers with Fling Tiger emblem. Covers slightly worn, spine cover split and repaired. The front paste down and next few pages, as well as the final pages in the book, contain the signatures of about 90 veterans of the Flying Tigers, gathered at different times. Although Cheannault is not included, his place has been filled by his son, Max Chennault. The names have not been researched, but DAVID LEE 'TEX' HILL is present as well. The signatures were obtained by DON MILLER, an active member of the AVG veterans whose signed bookplate is contained within. A rare compilation!
