ERHARD MILCH
(1892 - 1972) Co-creator with Goering of the Nazi's Luftwaffe, promoted to the rank of field marshal, later tried at Nuremberg and imprisoned until 1954. Fine association pre-war T.L.S. on Luftfahrt letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, Jan. 4, 1936 to Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach (1870-1950) who ran the German Friedrich Krupp AG, a heavy industry conglomerate of the Nazi war machine from 1909 until 1941. Milch mentions that on Jan. 22 a small tour of the Henschel Aircraft Plant would be held and he invites Krupp to attend. Some wrinkling at top and a small marginal split, else very good. It was only Krupp's advanced age that saved him from imprisonment at war's end.
