BIOGRAPHY:
Yolanda has discovered the world of art thirty years ago and has participated since then in tens of personal and group exhibitions. In 2002 she was appointed Head of the Haifa Free Association of Sculptors and Painters, which was founded in 1957 and closed in 2019.
Although in her career she has been exposed to many styles and movements in painting, Yolanda has developed a personal style touching the abstract. Her imagination is without limits and her colors are vivid and powerful yet warm and fill the viewer with a sentiment of joy and optimism.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Everybody can learn how to hold a brush in his hand but not everybody is able to show his deepest, inner soul through color. The harmonious combination of colors, not the one that has its rules, which is taught at school, but the one which is a gift, can take a long time to discover.
