Set of German Medals.
Set of German medals:

Kaiser Wilhelm I. Erinnerungsmedaille 1897

This medal was donated on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Kaiser Wilhelm I by grandson Wilhelm II on March 22, 1897. The date is postponed to the day the national monument was unveiled to Emperor and King Wilhelm I.
All persons who were in active service in the army and navy at the time, as well as all officials of the armory administration, all retired officers and medical officers who were called in and employed for service were entitled to receive. Likewise the members of the gendarmerie in Alsace-Lorraine. Officers and soldiers in disability houses and also all participants and veterans of the wars of 1864-1866 and 1870-1871 as well as all members of the colonial troops. Awards to women were also possible. These included the ladies of the Luisen Order. Not very rare due to the many awards. The number of awards and production can only be roughly estimated.
Awards over 1.2 million pieces are accepted. The manufacturer of the medals was the Otto Oertel company. The design of the medal comes from the sculptor Prof. Walter Schott. The corresponding award certificate comes from Emil Doepler the Younger. Other manufacturers for made-to-order, reductions and miniatures are possible but were already referred to as replicas during the rental period. The medal was not returnable. Mockingly also called the Order of Lemon because of the yellow ribbon. Medals in silver gold plated are extremely rare. Medals from war metal are late productions have a different loop and are about 10 times more expensive.
Half-sizes were also produced which are much higher in price.

2 x Kyffhäuserbund 1914/1918 Service Medal.

The DRKB, Deutscher Reichskriegerbund (Kyffhäuserbund), (German National Association of Veterans, Kyffhäuser Association), was formed during WWI, and was based on the DKB, Deutscher Kriegerbund (German Veterans Association), originally formed after the war of 1870-71. The addition of "Kyffhäuser" in the associations name referred to the Kyffhäuser mountain where a large war memorial had been erected. The goal of the association was to preserve the morale and comradeship of former soldiers and to financially assist its members if required. Of Note: The DRKB was renamed NS-RKB, Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund, (National Socialist-State Soldiers League), in March 1938.
A vertically oval die struck alloy award with a gilt wash. The obverse of the award features an embossed vertically oval laurel leaf wreath encompassing a central, embossed, unfurled flag and four upward pointing blitz style arrows with embossed dates, "1914 1918" to one side and embossed Gothic script to the top, "Blank die Wehr Rein die Ehr", (Shining resistance is the genuine Honor). The reverse of the award features an embossed vertically oval laurel leaf wreath and Gothic script, "Für Treue im Weltkriege Der Kyffhäuserbund", (For Loyalty in the World War The Kyffhäuser Association), encompassing an embossed, Gothic scripted, quote from Generalfeldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg, "Aufrecht u. stolz gehen wir aus dem Kampfe den wir über vier Jahre gegen eine Welt von fienden bestanden", (Erect and proud we proceed from the battle that for over four years duration we opposed the worlds enemies).
