Group of [11] Sketches for Children's Books Prepared for Books by BenTziyon Raskin
Eleven sketched illustrations received by children's author BenTziyon Raskin for his books. Unsigned. They may be illustrations by Chaim Hanft.
BenTziyon Raskin was a Yiddish and Hebrew author and translator, who also used the pseudonym "Uncle BenTziyon." He was a teacher and revolutionary activist in the Poalei Tziyon movement. He passed away prematurely at the age of 40, in 1930, drowning off the Tel Aviv beach.
Various sizes, overall fine-very fine condition. Aging stains and minimal fold marks.
