Parochet for a Synagogue, in Honor of a Married Couple, Decorated. Wassertrüdingen, Germany, 18th-19th Centuries


Magnificent parochet, decorated with silver thread embroidery and an embossed Torah crown decorated with glass. It may have been a donation in honor of the couple's wedding.

Embroidered: [Hebrew] Dedicated as a Gift from Koppel and his wife Gittel of Wassertrüdingen.

77x70 cm.

Poor-moderate condition, worn fabric, tears.
