Handwritten Letter by R. Yosef Shaul Nathanson Author of 'Shoel U'Meishiv', Lvov 1863.
A handwritten responsa document from 1863, handwritten and signed by the Ga'on R. Yosef Shaul Nathanson, Rabbi of Lvov and author of 'Shoel U'Meishiv'.
The letter is written to his great disciple R. Yitzchak Shmelkish, author of "Beis Yitzchak", while he served as Rabbi of Brezin, Galicia.
R. Yosef Shaul Nathanson (1810-1875) was Rabbi of Lvov and one of the greatest Rabbis of his time.
R. Yitzchak Shmelkish (1827-1905) was Rabbi of many communites throughout Galicia. Towards the end of his life he became Rabbi of Lvov. He authored "Beis Yitzchak" which contains his responsa on Shulchan Aruch.
In very good condition. 6 lines in his own handwriting. Approx. 14x5 cm.
