Chiddushei Baba Batra by Rabbi Yosef Migash [really: Shitah Mekubetzet]. Lemberg, 1809. Stamp of Rabbi Yonah Zvi Bernfeld and rabbinic ownership signatures.
Specifications: [1], 99 [should be: 112] leaves, mispaginated. 37 cm.
Unique Features: As in all of the copies, the title page belongs to the Chiddushei HaRi Migash, but was added to the Shitah Mekubetzet which was apparently printed without a title page. Owner stamp: Yonah Zvi Bernfeld, Av Beit Din of the holy congregation of Debrecen, previously dwelled in Albertirsa for 18 years. Rabbinic ownership signatures on the title page.
Background: Rabbi Yona Zvi Bernfeld was a foremost disciple of the 'Ktav Sofer.' He was engaged to Esther, the Chatam Sofer's orphaned daughter, but she died before their wedding. He was rabbi of Albertirsa from 1854, and rabbi of Debrecen from 1874. He authored Drashot Rabbi Yonah Zvi, Chiddushei Rabbi Yonah Zvi and more. Refer to: Kinstlicher, HaChatam Sofer V'Talmidav, 495.
