Starye gody (old years) was a Russian magazine published in 1907-1916 by the Circle of lovers of Russian fine publications in Saint Petersburg. The publisher was Peter Petrovich Weiner (1879-1931), the other founder, Vasily Andreevich Vereshchagin (1859-1931), became the editor-in-chief. The magazine published materials on the history of Russian art, gave descriptions of private and public collections, informed about auctions and private sales of works of art in Russia and abroad, indicating paintings and prices, and introduced the activities of museums. The magazine paid much attention to the problems of preserving Russian art and antiquities.
