Sha’alos U’Teshuvos HaRim, responsa and novellae on Massechtos Pesachim, Yevamos and Chulin, by Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter, the first Rebbe of Gur. Second edition, published by Rabbi Pinchas Menachem of Piltz. Warsaw 1882.
The signature and stamp of Rabbi Meir Yosef Rubin, the Rebbe of Kerestir, appear on the title page, with additional stamps on other pages.
Rabbi Meir Yosef Rubin (1899-1944), son of Rabbi Baruch of Brizdawitz (Galicia) and son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Steiner, the Rebbe of Kerestir – son and successor of the famous Rabbi Yeshaya’le of Kerestir. Rabbi Meir Yosef succeeded his father-in-law as Rebbe of Kesretir, continuing the tradition of hospitality and Yeshuos his deportation to Auschwitz.
