The Meintz family, an affluent family of bankers in Frankfurt am Main, was among pillars of Orthodox community of city. Rabbi Leib Meintz [passed away in 1822], his son Rabbi Moshe Meintz and his grandson Rabbi Yitzchak Meintz, were among exemplary personalities of German Jewry, great in Torah and financially wealthy. Supporters and leaders of Frankfurt, they were known for their greatness in Torah and reverence of G-d.
