A RARE AND IMPORTANT PARCEL GILT ETROG CONTAINER. Austria, 1821. Shaped as a ribbed etrog with a stem and pitom. Matted. Maker mark of CFK and control mark for 1810 - 1824. Featured in Jay Weinstein’s book A COLLECTOR’S GUIDE TO JUDAICA on page 36-37. Sold Sotheby’s, New York, November 1982, lot 293 and again Sotheby’s, New York, December 2007, lot 75. 9” long. Formerly in the collection of Richard Janger, Chicago, Ill.
