מלחמת ששת הימים - קבוץ גדות
קיבוץ גָדוֹת נוסד בשנת 1949. הוא שוכן בדרום עמק החולה לגדות הירדן, בקרבת גשר "בנות יעקב" שעל דרך הראשית ישראל-סוריה. המתיחות בין ישראל לסוריה בגבול הצפון הייתה רבה בין היתר כתוצאה משאלת האזור המפורז שנקבע בהסכם שביתת הנשק. תושבי היישובים בגבול הצפון ובהם גם תושבי קיבוץ גדות היו נתונים להפגזות כבדות מרמת הגולן
הפגזה כבדה במיוחד היתה 1967 בו נפגעו רוב בתי הקיבוץ וחלקים רבים ממנו נהרסו
