African Two-Headed Bakongo Nikisi Sculpture
After Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973): The Group. ca. 1966. Lithograph and Heliogravure, pencil-signed lower right, J.V. Stuttgart Edition, framed. An unverified document from the National Art Guild is affixed to the back of the frame.
Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism. 7.5 x 9.75 inches plate; 16.75 x 14.5 inches framed.
