PAUL TIBBETS SIGNED HIROSHIMA ATOMIC CLOUD PHOTO
(1915-2007) American Bomber Pilot. Tibbets was a pilot who flew the B-29 Superfortress known as the Enola Gay when it dropped Little Boy, the first of two atomic bombs used in warfare, on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Boldly signed in black felt tip pen 'Paul Tibbets, Pilot To Hiroshima, 6 Aug.1945', 8 x 10 in. b/w glossy photo montage of the Hiroshima mushroom cloud, the Enola Gay, a portrait of Tibbets and a photo of Hiroshima the day after the bombardment.
