Signatures of the Steipler, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and Many More Rabbis Associated with 'Chazon Ish'

Approximately [8] signed leaves, signed by dozens of rabbis and superlative Torah scholars led by the leader of the Jewish people, Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael Kanievsky and his son, may he be distinguished for life, the gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. Bnei Brak. 1977.

The rabbis signed a resolution to study mishnayot for the ascension of the soul of an important rabbi who had passed away. Typewritten on the first-central leaf: "I the undersigned accept upon myself, bli neder, to study ten chapters of mishnah for the ascension of the soul of ..." followed by handwritten signatures by (in order of appearance): Rabbi Yehudah Beuer, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak Deutch, Rabbi Nissim Karelitz, Rabbi Yechiel Michel Feinstein, Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael Kanievsky (who added: bli neder) and Rabbi Yehudah Shapira. This central leaf was copied several times (all included in the grouping here) and passed along to additional Torah scholars, who added their own signatures. Among the signatories on the other leaves: Rabbi Meir Greineman, Rabbi Aryeh Schechter, Rabbi Nachum Weissfish, Rabbi Eliyahu Weintraub, Rabbi Shlomo Weintraub, Rabbi David Michael Schmidel, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Shushan, Rabbi Nathan Zuchovsky, Rabbi Reuven Karelenstein, Rabbi Sriel Rosenberg, Rabbi Aharon Dunner and dozens more signatories.

Apparently the mishnah study was for the ascension of Rabbi Naftali Tzvi Yehudah Riff's soul. He was the deputy head of the Rabbinical Association and one of the presidents of the Ezrat Torah and Va'ad Hatzalah organizations, and a grandson of the geonim of the Shapira-Soloveitchik families.

Approximately [8] leaves, various sizes and conditions. Overall fine condition.
