Ma'ase Tuvya – Two Editions

Sefer Ma'ase Tuvya by Rabbi Tuvya Ha'Rofe, the first Hebrew medical book to be printed.  Two copies of different editions.

A.    Third edition, Lvov, 1867. Rashi script.

Condition: Good. Detached front cover. Missing spine. Several pages are detached. Slight tears.

B.     Venice, 1908.

Published by Rabbi Moshe Sternberg, one of the rabbis of Krakow, in square script and impressive pagination.

An impressive illustration of the author, Rabbi Tuvya Ha'Rofe, is added to the book (torn at its margins). On the reverse side of this page, a stamp of the publisher Rabbi Moshe Sternberg.

Condition: Good. The first pages are worn and torn. Moth holes. Detached pages.

Both books contain detailed illustrations in anatomy and astronomy.
