A RUSSIAN SILVER AND NIELLO CIGARETTE CASE W GOLD
An original silver and niello cigarette case, decorated with various patterns and relief overlays. On one side there is a gold overlay featuring the Russian female name "Galina" in Cyrillic and a monogram "B" in a cartouche with curls. On the backside, there is an overlay in the form of an enameled saber in the scabbard, miniature bottles, and monograms. The interior of the case is gilded, showing a handwritten inscription "Galina", the manufacturer's markings, and Imperial Russian silver proof of 84. Ca. 1900. Weight: 6.1 oz., 172 g.
