IMPERIAL OFFICER'S SWORD
Ornate imperial sword of unidentified make and model, 39 in. overall, 33.5 in. blade, the blade bearing an ornate etching of a crown above further embellishments, likely of Prussian or Imperial Russian origin. The white pebbled handle is wrapped with copper-colored wire, which remains tightly wound. The ricasso bears an imprinted yet undeciphered maker's mark, potentially in Cyrillic. The scabbard has been significantly oxidized, yet the blade itself remains quite clean, save for some slight surface abrasion at spots and some chips along one edge, likely from use. Still attached to the handguard is a forest green portapee, which bears some tape. Very good condition overall.
