BRITISH CAPTAIN'S PHOTO ALBUM DOCUMENTS THE BOER WAR
Good content British captain's photo album, 12 x 10 in., bearing 32 photographs, each 7.25 x 5.5 in. b/w, related to the Boer War, including images of sprawling British camps, British soldiers marching across bridges, multiple images of the landscape of Battle of Pieters and the Battle of Spion Kop, and more. Most appear commercial, with most bearing the trademark 'J.E.M. Photo' in the bottom-right corner, yet some may be original. The front fly leaf bears the ownership inscription 'C.G. Falcon / Capt RE [Royal Engineers] / 1900' in black ink, and Falcon adds some pencil annotation beneath particular images. Some photos slightly faded, with some pages bearing small spots of foxing, else very good.
