WILLIAM BAINBRIDGE
(1744 - 1833) American naval officer captured at Tripoli, and later commanded the Constitution in her victory over the Java during the War of 1812. Large signature cut from a signed letter, 3.25 x 2 in. (sight), matted to a total size of 11 x 9.25 in. Fine.
