IMPERIAL GERMAN OFFICER'S SWORD
Imperial German officer's sword, bears a slightly curved blade 30 in. long and marked by maker Paul Weyersberg & Co., Solingen under the languet. The composite grip is in fine condition, with tight wire wraps, the entire guard engraved with an oak leaf motif and it too is fine, but for a spot or two of verdigris. One languet bears a similar crossed oak branch engraving, the oppsite is engraved 'F R' recognizing the bearer's loyalty to King Frederick III. Blade has a few spots of oxidation, no scabbard present.
