Lot of three patriotic World War I U.S. Food Administration posters, each 20 x 30 in, includes: Full-color poster showing an illustration of a woman wearing American flag-themed dress and cap, above the label: 'BE PATRIOTIC...sign your country's pledge to save the food.' The bottom edge bears the designation 'No. 4' and the publisher's line from the W. F. Powers Company of New York. Damp stained at top, with some holes. WITH: Full-color poster showing a smug man seated at a table, surrounded by plates of uneaten food, above the caption: 'SIR - don't waste while your wife saves...Adopt the doctrine of the clean plate'. The bottom edge bears the designation 'No. 20' and the publisher's line from the W. F. Powers Company of New York. Notable chips and loss to the edges, reinforced on the verso with tape. WITH: Full-color poster showing advancing U.S soldiers, above the caption: 'Victory is a Question of Stamina...Send the Wheat - Meat - Fats - Sugar...the Fuel for Fighters'. The bottom edge bears the designation 'No. 11' and the publisher's line from the Latham Lithograph Company of New York. Substantial loss to the top-left corner, damp stains at bottom, multiple marginal tears archivally repaired on the verso.
