'BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH' MEMORIAL
Hand-carved oak memorial picture frame, 13.5 x 10 in., bears the expression used with those deceased: 'Sei getreu bis den Tod' ('Be Thou Faithful Until Death'), expertly carved in relief with laurel leaves at bottom appearing in bas relief. A photo of a deceased Wehrmacht non-com appears in the glass-covered oval at center. Fine.
