ARMORED SOLDIER'S PRAYER BOOK
Unusual World War II-era Catholic prayer book, 176pp. 12mo., dedicated to a U.S. Army sergeant in December of 1944. Interestingly, the front cover is fitted with a plate of steel armor, engraved with the blessing: 'May the Lord be with you'. Several additional items of religious ephemera are tucked within. Shows tarnish to the armor, with expected wear and soiling overall, else very good.
