'DOCUMENTS OF POLISH CRUELTY'
Scarce and shocking German propaganda publication: 'Dokumente Polnischer Grausamkeit' ('Documents of Polish Cruelty'), [Berlin: German Information Office], 1940, 456pp. 4to., with hundreds of pages of 'evidence' provided by Germany of these alleged atrocities, including reproductions of reports and the most gruesome photos of exhumed and autopsied bodies (most likely Poles murdered by the German occupiers). The text sets forth over one hundred examples of 'proven' Polish atrocities committed against ethnic Germans, charges used by Hitler to justify his invasion of Poland a year earlier. Light staining to the covers, boards broken at the gutter, else in very good condition.
